Magnificent MISO “a natural probiotic”

Magnificent MISO “a natural probiotic”

So why do I love and call one of my favorite foods Magnificent Miso “a natural probiotic”?

Because it’s super tasty and “a natural probiotic”!

For gut health, one of my favorite food choices is MISO!

I like to mix it with raw ginger and organic chicken broth, as a warm cup of bone broth.

The key is not to boil the miso.

But to stir it in last minute while liquids are hot, stir and allow to dissolve.

Sometimes I throw in some seaweed chips – also yummy – and a superfood, from what I’ve read.

Add it to make a perfect soup this winter.

Keep reading, it’s gets better!

The reason I really love it, is because of this;

Miso paste is a probiotic food that contains millions of microorganisms similar or identical to those beneficial bacteria that live in your large intestine.

These microorganisms grow during the fermentation that produces miso, a process that typically takes anywhere from a few days to a year or more.

The length of the fermentation process determines the flavor strength of the miso and also contributes to the number of probiotic organisms in the final paste.

Nutritionally, miso paste provides mostly carbohydrate with some protein.

It is also rich in several of the B-complex vitamins and contains several minerals, including calcium, iron, zinc, copper and magnesium.

Isn’t that amazing, Magnificent Miso indeed.

Here are some great cooking ideas, and more information on how to cook with MISO!
